Airlie Beach Running Festival
Held in one of the world's most pristine holiday destinations, the Airlie Beach Running Festival is the Whitsunday's premier running event and will enter its 7th year in 2019.
The Whitsundays is located in a remote region with limited access to hospitals and for their vital role in filling this gap in services, all proceeds generated by the Running Festival will be donated to both the RACQ CQ Rescue Helicopter based in Mackay and the Ronald McDonald House in Townsville.
This event caters for athletes of all ages and different levels of fitness, with runs of varying distances from a 1 km family fun run through to a full marathon. All runs are off road along boardwalks and footpaths, giving runners stunning views of the surrounding Whitsunday islands and spectators and support teams the opportunity to cheer runners on multiple times.
RACQ CQ Rescue has partnered with Everyday Hero to give you the ability to create your own online fundraising page. If you would like to support this cause click here to “start fundraising” and follow their instructions.
Registration for the 2019 Airlie Beach Running Festival will be confirmed shorly.
