Putting The ‘fun’ Back Into ‘fundraising’

Rescue Chopper Week (October 14-20), a CQ Rescue campaign based around education and creating awareness of the services that the local rescue chopper offer to the community, is set to reach new heights in 2019.

With some great sponsors on board this year, local students have the opportunity to win some awesome prizes as they showcase their skills in the arts, with competition levels:

  • Kindy – Grade 3: Colour in Huey Colouring Competition
  • Grade 4 – 6: Craft a Clever Tale Storytelling Competition
  • Grade 7 -12: Capture Your Community Multimedia Competition

Our friends at Vuly Play, Australia’s trusted manufacturer of trampolines for kids, have kindly donated a brand-new Ultra Medium Trampoline for one lucky Colouring Competition winner which is also supported by EFEX Mackay. The Ultra offers fun for the entire family and we know there will be some great times had with this fantastic prize. See Vuly's full trampoline range here.  Thank you Vuly Play!

For the lucky winner of both the Craft a Clever Tale Competition and Capture Your Community Competition, they will both receive a Samsung Tab A 10.1 kindly donated by our friends at Telstra Stores Mackay. For all your Telstra needs visit the guys at the Mackay stores.

Another exciting element to Rescue Chopper Week is the Chopper Landing at one lucky school who registered for the week before September, 20 2019. The lucky school this year is Eimeo Road State School with approx. 900 students getting to experience first hand the importance of the Rescue Chopper, while meeting the crew and checking out the chopper.

Rescue Chopper Week also offers the opportunity for local businesses to jump on board and help to raise vital funds that the CQ Rescue needs to continue saving lives 24/7.

As it has in the past, 2019 is shaping up to be another fantastic week of awareness, helping to put the 'fun' back into 'fundraising
