RACQ CQ Rescue is a community funded rescue helicopter that services the Mackay, Whitsunday and Bowen Basin regions. Being a community funded operation we are always out in force raising the funds needed to keep the service in the air. Two significant ways we raise funds are the use of donation boxes in businesses around the area, as well as fundraising events and the sale of our RACQ CQ Rescue merchandise.
The reality is that without the staff, crew and volunteers assisting with our fundraising efforts, the service would not be able to go on. We are continuously trying to expand our volunteer community. With the help of the volunteers at RACQ CQ Rescue, we are able to make a significant difference for the service and for our community.

Assistance And Representation At Community Events
RACQ CQ Rescue holds regular fundraising events and is also invited to many other events which are held as fundraisers on our behalf.
It takes a lot of manpower to not only organise these events but also to ensure RACQ CQ Rescue is represented at events we are invited to wherever possible.
If you have some spare time and have been looking for a new idea of how to fill it – why not become an RACQ CQ Rescue volunteer and help us with our vitally important fundraising events and activities. We’d love to welcome you to our team!
As one of the busiest helicopter rescue services in Queensland, the RACQ CQ Rescue fundraising team is kept on our toes raising the funds and awareness required to keep our service going. If you have a few hours spare that you could give to assisting RACQ CQ Rescue to raise the much-needed funds we require, please contact Anka Young, our Volunteer Coordinator, to register your interest in becoming a volunteer.
