The predominant service region for RACQ CQ Rescue is regions between Townsville and St Lawrence, an area that stretches west to the Galilee Basin and includes the majority of the Bowen Basin and east to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.
“In real terms, our area of operation is greater than four times the size of Tasmania and we are on call to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.”
Frequently RACQ CQ Rescue conducts missions to Townsville when the need arises. These types of tasks generally involve seriously injured patients who require vital medical care which may not be available in Mackay or critically ill patients who need urgent transport from this region to Townsville.
