Join the BMA CQ Rescue Volunteer Program - Help to deliver hope

Volunteers are the heartbeat of BMA CQ Rescue, representing our lifesaving service across the Bowen Basin, Whitsunday, Isaac, and Mackay regions. From collecting donation boxes to attending community events and supporting third-party fundraisers, our volunteers play a vital role in helping us deliver critical aeromedical care to those in need.

Every year, our service responds to hundreds of emergency calls – each one a life that hangs in the balance. While our highly skilled flight crew is in the air, our volunteers are on the ground, raising the funds that keep our helicopters in the sky. Without them, we couldn’t continue to provide this essential service 24/7, 365 days a year.

Throughout the year, our volunteers step up to assist at key fundraising events, including Emergency Services Day, the Beach to Gardens Charity Fun Run, Rescue Chopper Week, and our exclusive gala fundraising dinner. They also lend their support to community-driven initiatives like the River 2 Reef Charity Ride, Battle of the Mines Rugby League Tournament, and our Christmas Gift Wrapping Stall at Caneland Central.

Behind every mission flown and every life saved, there are volunteers working tirelessly to keep us in the air. They help package event tickets, seek auction items, deliver flyers, and collect vital donations – all while spreading the message of how crucial community support is to our service.

Whether you’re collecting donations, spreading awareness, or lending a hand at events, every hour you give helps us deliver hope and help to those facing their darkest hours. Your time, energy, and passion can make a life-changing difference in your community.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact, meet new people, and be part of something truly life-changing, join our BMA CQ Rescue volunteer family today. We’d love to welcome you aboard!

Volunteering for CQ Rescue is a wonderful way to give back to my community - and it’s a great family to be a part of!
