Join us for a day of excitement, community and family fun at the BMA CQ Rescue Family Fun Day!

This action-packed event is your chance to get up close to the lifesaving BMA CQ Rescue Helicopter and enjoy an unforgettable day out with the whole family.

This event is dedicated to bringing a community together while celebrating and supporting the service that remains our lifeline in the sky.

  • The BMA CQ Rescue Family fun Day kicks off at 9am and will run until 1pm.

  • The event will take place at the Mackay Showgrounds.

  • Tickets are $10 per child with adults and children under 2 free.

    Once inside all kids entertainment and amusement rides will be free of charge.

  • The entry fee assists us to provide all kids entertainment and amusement rides free of charge, while also making a small donation to our community funded rescue helicopter service.

  • We suggest hats, sunscreen, water bottles and some comfy shoes. Along with some cash or card for food trucks, merchandise, and raffle tickets.

  • Yes! A range of food trucks and beverage vendors will be in attendance.

  • Yes. Once the helicopter has landed and our crew have determined it safe to do so. Families will have a chance to meet the crew and see the helicopter up close.

  • This event is a vital fundraiser for our community funded rescue helicopter service. You can show your support by purchasing a raffle ticket, making a donation, buying merchandise, or simply coming along to enjoy the event with your family!
