Our Impact

At BMA CQ Rescue, our impact isn’t just measured in kilometres flown or missions completed; it’s measured in lives saved, families reunited, and communities supported in their most critical moments.

Every time our rescue helicopters take to the sky, we’re delivering more than emergency medical care, we’re delivery hope. From remote cattle stations to islands offshore and the regional highways in between, our crew are able to reach people in some of the most isolated and remote corners of Central and North Queensland.

729 missions flown in 2024

In 2024 alone, we flew 729 missions, that is 729 times our community didn’t have to face their worst moments alone.

Thanks to the ongoing community support, we’ve upgraded to AW139 Rescue Helicopters that enable us to fly further and fast that ever before. This means we can reach more people in less time, when every second truly counts.

Our impact extends far beyond the patient. We help give parents one more hug with their child, keep families whole after near tragedy and offer strength and comfort when it’s needed most. For some, we are their only hope.
