MATCHED GIVING BOOSTS MORALE AND DRIVES CHARITY DONATIONS

A Paget firm is improving workplace culture, staff morale and showing vital support for a lifesaving service by matching their employee’s payroll donations.

Richglen Maintenance Services has presented a donation of $15,400 to RACQ CQ Rescue which was achieved through their Matched Workplace Giving Program. For every dollar their employees give to charity each pay cycle, Richglen Maintenace Services has matched the contributions dollar for dollar.

Managing Director Matt Borg said donating to the region’s rescue helicopter was a good way to build on their company values and culture and provide support for a lifesaving service in the local community.

“We are proud to be supporting CQ Rescue as well as the giving efforts of our employees by matching their donation,” Mr Borg said.

“This initiative is a great way for us to make a real difference in our community. Matching our employee donations is also appreciated by our staff and encourages them to donate generously.

“The reality is our community only thrives and everyone benefits when we all work together,” he said.

Mr Borg said Richglen acknowledged the vital role of the service in Central Queensland and were grateful it was a lifeline available to anyone, anywhere, anytime in the area where they worked and lived.

“It’s another way of showing our appreciation and saying thank you for the incredibly valuable service the chopper provides our community,” he said.

RACQ CQ Rescue CEO Tim Healee said payroll giving was a valuable form of fundraising and was an easy, hassle-free and flexible way for employees and employers to support the service.

“As a local community non-profit organisation RACQ CQ Rescue provides a high profile, vital around-the-clock emergency medical and rescue helicopter service throughout Central Queensland,” he said.

“Employers who match their employee donations actually double the effect of the employee’s dollar and the overall program while at the same time enhancing their corporate reputation among employees and the community,” he said.

“Such support is what keeps us up in the air and saving lives.”

RACQ CQ Rescue has completed 394 missions already this year.
