Rescue Chopper Week is just around the corner, and this year we’re doing things a little differently! The community will have the chance to purchase $10 raffle tickets for the opportunity to win a once-in-a-lifetime flight aboard the BMA CQ Rescue Helicopter at our next community landing.
We’re calling on our amazing volunteers to help us sell tickets at Canelands Shopping Centre during Rescue Chopper Week, on Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th, and Thursday 16th of October. Your support will make a huge difference in raising vital funds to keep our helicopter flying and ready to respond when our community needs it most.

BMA CQ Rescue HeliCore Collective is a great networking opportunity for local businesses, business people and other organisations who want to help us continue our lifesaving work. Throughout the year, HeliCore supporters attend a series of exclusive events hosted by BMA CQ Rescue.
We are seeking volunteers to assist in the execution of our November Christmas HeliCore Event. We will require assistance with serving food and drinks (during the event) to our HeliCore collective supporters.

The BMA River 2 Reef Ride Festival returns to Mackay and the Whitsundays in 2025, continuing its tradition of an annual charity ride now in its 15th year. This event raises funds for local non-profit organisations, including BMA CQ Rescue and Disabled Sport & Rec Mackay.
We are seeking volunteers to assist with various jobs. If you are able to spare a few hours to help out at any point during this time, your support is appreciated. Rest assure, we will handle your registration with the event organisers!
Please note that there are various start times for Sunday 7th September, and not all positions will begin at 4.30am.

The 2025 CQ Rescue Fun Run invites participants to experience breath-taking routes along the Bluewater Trail, extending to Iluka Park. This event aims to raise essential funds supporting CQ Rescue.
Participants can choose from a range of picturesque routes - 5km or 10km - winding along the scenic Bluewater Trail in Mackay’s tropical setting. These diverse race options, all starting and ending at Iluka Park, aim to raise crucial funds in support of your local helicopter rescue service.
